INSPIRATION OF THE DAY
Haven’t done one of these in a while.
INSPIRATION OF THE DAY: LOST inspired poster from Mattson Creative
Yes it’s true, I am a huge LOST fan. I’ve even cited it as a source of creative inspiration.
Mattson Creative has taken it to heart and created a series of LOST inspired posters.
Check more of them out here.

This is the second print in the Best You’ve Never Heard From series.
This piece was inspired by the band As Cities Burns and a line from their song “Clouds”.
“I think our god isn’t God,
If he fits inside our heads.”
The print will be on an 11” x 11” medium and will be available along with the rest of the series soon.

So I started working on my first print series.
Not sure what I’m going to call the series yet, but the theme is going to be influential underground artists of the last decade.
I decided to start off with a print inspired by one of my all-time favorite bands, Brand New. The lyric on the poster is from the song “Play Crack the Sky” and reads…
“Need You Like Water in My Lungs”
The print will be 11x11 and I’m not sure if I’m going to sell this or not.
So…
If you think you may be interested in getting one, let me know because I can always print up some special orders. They will be RIDICULOUSLY CHEAP. Like, between $6 - $10
Let me know what you think!
More to come soon.

Outstanding
INSPIRATION OF THE DAY
Besides being one of my favorite movies, and a really clever design, Ibraheem Youssef’s Quentin Tarantino poster series utilizes retro, and vintage styles with early 20th century wall textures.

Stumbled upon a really cool blog that highlights promotional material.
I just picked up a new design client that I will be doing a plethora of promo material work for. I think people take things like postcards and brochure design for granted, so it’s definitely cool to see great designs like this get some recognition.
Flavorwire has come out with a pretty decent mixtape for bookworms, reminding me that it’s about time I make a follow-up to books are the new boyfriend. Weekend plans = Volume II.
Thanks goes to Tug at about-today for the heads-up to the link. Be sure to check him out for new music!
